Description: A. J. Tomlinson was a Quaker missionary to the mountains of western North Carolina. After establishing a ministry in Culberson, North Carolina, he joined the Holiness Church at Camp Creek on June 13, 1903, and became their pastor. In 1909, he became the first general overseer of the Church of God.
